Take time out to listen to this wonderful and beautifully understated reading by Neil Holland of his poem "Twelve Noon in Dubrovnik" The video, shot by Neil, really enhances the reading and at the end the words are on-screen to reflect upon. Neil is one of our newer members and a modest man. He shouldn't be too modest however, because his poetry is evocative and deeply felt as the best poetry always is.
Four fabulous writers for the March 6X6 have been selected from City Voices!
Adam and Jason are 6 x 6 "virgins" ( I believe it is the first time they have entered this particular event) but neither are strangers to performance poetry, however. Adam is a published author of poetry and fiction, and reads in public using braille. Jason is on the cusp of publishing his first book through City Voices Publishing, and is well-known in Stoke on Trent and elsewhere for his poetry and work with young people who may not have had the best start in life.
The full line up is as follows
Tickets are free tickets, and as always, bring cash to buy the superb publications from the writers.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
